Being a Cub
Cubs is the third Scout Section, for children aged 8-10½. As a Cub, you’ll get the chance to try a range of exciting activities and go on new adventures. Here’s everything you need to know.

When do we meet?
We have currently got 2 Cub Packs that operate during the school term within our Scout Group:
Centurion Cub Pack – Tuesdays – 6.45pm – 8.15pm
Battle Cub Pack – Wednesdays – 6.00pm – 7.30pm
Cost is £12 per month (covers annual membership fee and general programme). Any additional activities and camps are charged separately.
We currently have places in both Cub Packs.

Earning Awards
By taking part in activities Cubs will earn badges that they can proudly wear on their uniform.
Completing all the challenge badges will earn Cubs the Chief Scout’s Silver Award.

Moving on to Scouts
Eventually, it will be time to say goodbye to Cubs and move onwards and upwards to Scouts.

Cub Volunteers
All of our leaders are trained volunteers, working to make sure Scouting is safe, inclusive and accessible. Some lead the Pack week in and week out. Others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills. No matter how much time you have to spare, find out about volunteering on your own terms.
